Feria: Todos los niños del mundo merecemos un lugar


Los alumnos trabajaron en Ciencias sociales sobre los derechos del niño en la Convención sobre los derechos del niño en la infancia.  Elaboraron distintas láminas para mostrar los derechos trabajados en clase:

Igualdad, integración, identidad, protección, salud, condiciones de vida dignas, familia y afecto, educación, juego y tiempo libre y participación.

Some questions about "The Witches"

Here are the questions I would like you to answer during the winter holidays. Remember not to copy the questions. Just write the complete answers, in a tidy way, to hand them in on Wednesday, 6th August. Be careful! Because some questions have two parts! And remember that you can use the book to answer all questions... that's great help!

1- Who was the author of the book? Write what you remember about his life.

2- Who was the illustrator? Which was his relationship with the author?

3- What is strange about grandma's thumb? Do we know what happened to it?

4- What do witches look like? (Write a full description!).

5- How did Ranghild Hansen disappear?

6- Which are the steps you have to follow to prepare the "Formula 86 Delayed Action Mouse-Maker"? (Write them in bullet points, as in a recipe).

7- How did Bruno's dad react when the grandma told him that Bruno was a mouse?

8- Draw the dining-room scene, in which witches are turned into mice.

9- Mention three things that grandma did to adapt her house for the boy, who was a mouse.

10- Did you like the story? Why/Why not? (Give a good, complete answer to this question).

Desafío musical III

El  nuevo grabador de voz Online que vamos a usar se llama Vocaroo, les dejo el link y un pequeño tutorial de uso .
Recuerden traer grabado dos instrumentos por grupo.

1. Hacer clic debajo de la imagen, en otra pestaña se abrirá Vocaroo.

2. Para comenzar a grabar hacer clic en " click to record" y comienza a grabar ( acuérdense de tener el JAM abierto y el instrumente elegido sonando).
3. Cuando consideren que ya grabaron 30 segundos aproximadamente, para detener la grabación hacer clic en " click to stop".
4. Para escucharlo deber presionar listen.
5. Para guardarlo o enviarlo por mail, deben hacer clic en la parte que dice "click here to save".

 Se va a desplegar lo siguiente
6. Deben hacer clic en GMAIL, se abre directamente con el link de la grabación ,solamente deben colocar la dirección de gmail de cada uno para enviárselo, como ven en la imagen.

Great plans for a new school

We want to be eco-friendly!

As part of our new project, today we gathered in groups to start thinking about alternatives that can make of our future new building an innovative, eco-friendly school. 



Next week, we'll present our suggestions and maybe the new school could be built taking some of our alternatives into account. I'm sure it will be a great experience!

A new recipe

We are great witches!

Today we had to create new, amazing recipes so that kids would not turn into mice, but into something different. You managed to create fantastically horrible recipes... with disgusting results!

Mice everywhere!

Acting out

Today you really surprised me and the teachers around because they didn't know what was going around... You were all mice! How nasty you were! But you were excellent actors and actresses who could use English in a very meaningful way. And most importantly, you showed feelings through your characters, which is something not very easy. Fantastic result 5th Form! Please, go on working this way! I'm sure it's the key to enjoy reading!



And... are you thinking about the new recipe? Don't forget about it!
